Cate Marques has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Cate started their career as a Communications Intern at the Coalition for the International Criminal Court in 2010. Cate then served as an Assembly of States Party to the Rome Statute Intern at the same organization for a brief period in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Department of Politics Research Assistant at Oberlin College.
Marques gained legal and administrative experience at Wechsler & Cohen, LLP, where they worked as a Paralegal from 2012 to 2014. Cate also assisted as an Executive Assistant at the same firm during 2013 and 2014.
From 2014 to 2016, Marques served as an Administrative Assistant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) before being promoted to the role of Executive Assistant from 2017 to 2018.
In 2018, Marques transitioned to Fithouse, where they worked as a NY HR, Office Coordinator, and Executive Assistant from February to August. Later, they became an Operations Manager from September 2018 to April 2019.
In 2019, Marques joined Knotel as part of the Customer Success team, specifically focusing on Implementation. Cate worked in this role until April 2020.
From April to September 2020, they took on the position of CX & Ops Manager at Terra Kaffe, where they played a pivotal role in transforming the in-home coffee experience, starting with a new coffee machine. Cate then became the Head of CX from September 2020 to September 2021. After that, they were promoted to VP of CX, holding this position until January 2022. Currently, Marques holds the role of CXO at Terra Kaffe, starting from January 2022.
Marques has also contributed to Impact 100 NYC as a Member of the Board of Directors from July 2020 to September 2021.
Cate Marques completed their bachelor's degree in Politics, Law, and International Relations from Oberlin College between 2006 and 2010. Cate also obtained additional certifications including the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), Certified Personal Trainer, and Women's Health Certified Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
