Thomas R. Burnside serves as the Assistant Director at the West Virginia Lottery since June 2011, managing public relations, social media, and drawings for the organization which generates over $1.2 billion in gross sales annually. Prior to this role, Thomas held various positions at Marshall University from 1997 to June 2011, including Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations, where responsibilities included overseeing the sports information office and serving as the primary media contact for NCAA Division I athletics. Thomas's educational background includes a Master of Science in Health & Physical Education with a focus on Athletics Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, both from Marshall University.
