Doug Ivey has worked in a variety of roles since 1993. Doug began their career as a Dissertation student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Doug then moved on to become a Postdoctoral Fellow at UTHSCSA - South Texas Center for Biotechnology in Medicine in 1999. In 2002, they became an NIH Fellow at Boston College. In 2006, they co-founded Fission Pharmaceuticals, where they identified PDE4 isoform-specific inhibitors to treat a multitude of serious illnesses. In 2009, they became a Research Assistant Professor at Boston College. In 2010, they were a Scientist / Advisor at DeepBiology. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Scientist at JUST. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been a Principal Scientist and Discovery and Strain Engineering at EVERYâ„¢.
Doug Ivey obtained their B.S. in Applied Microbiology from the University of Houston-Downtown in 1993. Doug then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), which they completed in 1999.
