Kevin is a microbiologist with a focus on understanding how bacteria and humans interact. During his graduate work in Dr. Karen Ottemannā€™s lab at UCSC, he focused on understanding how H. pylori use its chemotaxis system to promote colonization and cause disease in the stomach. His research has utilized a variety of in vivo and in vitro models and methods to study bacteria-host interactions. Kevin is now leveraging these skills at Siolta Therapeutics to help drive the R&D of new therapeutic consortia to target disease indications of interest.
