Alex Armstrong

Vice President, HR & Operations at SigTech

Alex Armstrong has a strong background in HR and operations, with experience in various roles and organizations. Alex started their career as a Junior Policy Advisor at the House of Commons in 2009 and later joined Apple as an Operations and Preservation Specialist. In 2014, they became a Public Affairs Manager at BECG before transitioning to Shape History, where they served as the Head of Operations & People and later became an Advisory Board Member.

In 2017, Alex joined Uber as the Head of Uber Engage and Operations and Logistics Manager. Alex also served as a member of the Uber Engage Review Board. Following their time at Uber, they joined CloudKitchens as the Global Head of People Operations, where they played a vital role in building cultural values, designing HR reports, and implementing HR functions and processes.

Alex then joined Faculty as the People Operations / Interim Head of People, where they worked from 2020 to 2021. Alex later joined factory14 as the Head of HR Business Partners, where they successfully grew the team from 25 to 120 within eight months.

Currently, Alex is working at SigTech as the Vice President of Operations. In this role, they have trained and implemented AI tools across the Operations teams, worked on strategic goals with the CEO, built HR functions, resolved multiple employee incidents, and contributed to series A funding discussions with external investors.

Alex Armstrong began their education at Brockenhurst College, where they pursued AS and A-level studies in Political Science and Government. It is unclear when Alex started and completed this program.

After completing their studies at Brockenhurst College, Alex Armstrong attended the University of Portsmouth from 2008 to 2011. They obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in International Relations and Politics during this time.
