Austin Cantwell is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Sr. Engineer at Riley Exploration Permian, Inc. since April 2022, Austin has focused on production, completions, enhanced oil recovery, and business development, overseeing operations in Texas until April 2024 and New Mexico thereafter. Prior to this role, Austin was a Wells Engineer at ExxonMobil from November 2018 to April 2022, managing critical completion and well operations for ultra-ERD wells with intelligent completions. Experience at Energy XXI includes roles as a Drilling Engineer I, an Office Drilling Engineering Intern, and a Production Engineering Intern, contributing to offshore and onshore projects while enhancing operational efficiency. Austin's engineering career began with an internship at LINN Energy, where evaluation of treatment methods led to sustainable production recommendations. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
