Rafael Luna Romero is an experienced Environmental Engineer currently employed at Seadrift Coke L.P. since December 2022, where responsibilities include maintaining compliance with environmental permits and analyzing data for regulatory reporting. Prior to this, Rafael served as a Natural Resources Specialist III and II at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, focusing on compliance evaluations for drinking water systems. Additionally, Rafael participated in a summer program with Veolia, developing a sustainable solution for agriculture, and held various roles at the University of Houston, including assistant in the housing department and summer intern at WUTHSA, where skills in safety compliance and contract bidding were honed. Rafael earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston in 2020.
