Igor P. Sobkowicz, PhD, PE, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Solar Engineering at Peregrine Energy Solutions, LLC, where responsibilities include solar PV design for projects exceeding 100MW, optimization of LCOE, and supporting Greenfielding efforts. Previous experience includes roles as a Development Engineer at The AES Corporation, focusing on project evaluation and utility-scale design for PV and BESS systems, and as Project Engineering Manager at Borrego, managing PV system design and permitting processes. Earlier positions involved PV design at Cupertino Electric, Inc., and research in materials science, culminating in a PhD from École Polytechnique, supplemented by degrees from The University of Edinburgh and École des Ponts Business School.
