Lisel Petis currently serves as a Senior Fellow in Criminal Justice at the R Street Institute and as a Fellow at Salzburg Global Seminar. Previous experience includes roles as a City Council Member for the City of Steamboat Springs and Executive Director at Better Tomorrow. Lisel has also practiced as a Deputy District Attorney in both the 14th Judicial and Weld County District Attorney's Offices, and has held various legal internships, including positions at the Denver District Attorney's Office and the New York County District Attorney's Office. Lisel holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
