Charles M. Fernandez is an experienced executive with a long history of success in the business world. Charles M. began their career in 1996 as a Director, Shareholder, and Chairman of the Audit Committee at IVAX Corporation, where they supervised accounting, legal, and regulatory activities, and assisted the Chairman and CEO in achieving international expansion that increased the enterprise value from $380 million to more than $9 billion. In 1996, they also co-founded Continucare Corporation, where they served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. At Continucare, they provided ongoing services to approximately 50,000 patients. In 1999, they became President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Big City Radio, where they successfully restructured the company from the brink of bankruptcy and doubled asset value from approximately $120 million to $240 million. In 2008, they became President of Fairholme Capital Management LLC, where they oversaw a team of investors providing investment management services to the Fairholme Managed Account Program and the Fairholme Fund. In 2012, they founded Barnstar Funds, LP. In 2015, they co-founded KEMPSTAR, where they were the single largest shareholder, co-founder, and chairman of a large-scale marketer of energy and agricultural commodities. In 2016, they became Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of eApeiron Solutions, a brand protection, authentic sourcing, and e-commerce company. In 2019, they became a Member of the Supervisory Board at Smartrac - an Avery Dennison company. Most recently, in 2021, they became Chairman & CEO of NextPlat, a global e-commerce platform company.
Charles M. Fernandez received a Bachelor's Degree from Florida International University in 1985, having completed a Double Major in Finance and International Business from 1981 to 1985.
