Richard Scott started their career in 1985 as a Resident in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Richard then worked as a Fellow in Anatomic Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 1989. In 1990, they became a Coroner's Physician at Cattaraugus County and also started working as an Assistant Laboratory Director at Olean General Hospital. In 1991, they became the Medical Director of the Laboratory at Olean Medical Group. In 2015, they joined Allegany County, New York as a Coroner's Physician. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of Medical Director of the Laboratory at Olean General Hospital.
Richard Scott completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Premedicine from Penn State University, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Richard then pursued a Medical Doctorate (MD) in Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, graduating between 1981 and 1985. In addition, they obtained a certification from the American Board of Pathology in August 1990 as a Board Certified professional in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
