Maryse Fahmi has a diverse work experience in the construction and facilities management industry. Maryse worked as a Project Coordinator at Naylor Love, where they managed multiple large commercial projects, including seismic strengthening, retail shop refurbishment, hospital services infrastructure upgrading, and school redevelopment. Their responsibilities included planning and scheduling programme tasks, coordinating with the delivery team to manage workload and execution, analyzing project costs and progress, generating reports on project risks and programme schedules, maintaining cost control and procurement, executing quality control inspections, and communicating with key stakeholders and managing client relationships.
Prior to that, Maryse worked as an Assistant Facilities Manager at BRANZ, where they helped maintain the office and live test laboratory. Their tasks included managing the operational conditions of the lab, monitoring the Building Management System, creating reports on facilities maintenance and operational excellence, and providing on-call support for site disruptions and emergencies.
Maryse also gained experience as an Acoustic Consultant at Marshall Day Acoustics. During their internship, they performed analytical reviews of acoustic performance for various projects such as windmill farms, airports, residential homes, cafes, and a concert hall. Maryse also participated in detailing the design of the internal frame of the NZ Sound Orchestra Concert Hall and created 2D sketches to 3D models using CAD.
Maryse Fahmi completed a master's degree in Construction Management at Auckland University of Technology from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Building Science in Project Management and Sustainable Engineering Systems at Victoria University of Wellington from 2017 to 2019.
