Alin Velea is an experienced scientific researcher with a strong background in materials physics and complex systems. Currently serving as a Scientific Researcher I and II at the National Institute of Materials Physics since July 2016, Alin specializes in X-ray diffraction and reflectometry investigations of phase change materials and electrical resistance measurements of phase change films. As a co-founder of Hiquda, Alin engages in transdisciplinary research focused on understanding complex adaptive systems. Previous roles include postdoctoral fellowships at imec and the Paul Scherrer Institut, where Alin worked on crossbar selector devices and investigated phase change in chalcogenide thin films, respectively. Alin's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics and degrees in Materials Science and Physics from the University of Bucharest.
