Volker Presser is a distinguished researcher with extensive experience in the field of mineralogy. Currently serving as a Research Department Leader at the INM-Leibniz Institute for New Materials since June 2012, Volker also holds a Full Professorship at Universität des Saarlandes, where work has been ongoing since April 2013. As Editor In Chief for the Royal Society of Chemistry since September 2021, Volker contributes significantly to the scientific community. Previous positions include Research Assistant Professor at Drexel University and Humboldt Research Fellow from January 2010 to June 2012, as well as Postdoctoral Researcher and Ph.D. student at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen between February 2006 and December 2009. Volker's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mineralogy from the University of Tübingen and a Diploma in Mineralogy from the same institution.
