Nicole Boettger started their work experience in 2002 as the Director of Producer Services at the National Pork Board. Nicole then moved on to become the Senior Director of Account Services at Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland in 2010. In 2012, they joined Novus as a Key Accounts Manager for the Pork team. Nicole went on to work at Huvepharma, Inc as a Senior Account Manager from 2016 to 2019. From 2019 to 2023, they served as a Manager at HAMLET PROTEIN. Currently, they hold the position of Director of North American Swine Business at MetaFarms, Inc, starting in 2023.

Nicole Boettger obtained their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Soils and Livestock from the University of MN Waseca in 1990, where they studied from 1988 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Teacher Education at South Dakota State University. Their education at South Dakota State University took place between 1990 and 1992.
