Rosa Velez is an experienced leader in children's education and ministry, currently serving as the Director of Ignite Kidz Ministry at Next Step Community Church since October 2022, where responsibilities include directing and training a team to inspire children in their faith. In addition to this role, Rosa serves as a middle school sports coach for Manhattan Youth, specializing in softball, volleyball, and track. As the CEO of Backpack Kids Inc., Rosa focuses on creating educational adventures through real-world play. An entrepreneur since May 2015, Rosa has offered innovative educational reforms for children and families in New York City. Previous experience includes significant roles in childcare, admissions counseling at Alliance University, office management, and early childhood education with Jumpstart. Rosa holds a Master's degree in Divinity and Biblical & Theological Studies from Alliance and Theological Seminary, a Bachelor's degree in Music from Nyack College, and an Associate of Arts from CUNY New York City College of Technology.
