Jacob Akers has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. Jacob began their career at Penn State University in 1999, where they held roles such as Manager of Storage Systems, Systems Developer, Systems Administrator, and Systems Architect/Administrator. In 2017, they joined Conduent as a Senior IT Project Manager, where they were responsible for the planning and production deployment of new facilities and infrastructure projects, from hardware procurement to Service Delivery, including Major Incident Management for infrastructure operations. Jacob also managed and planned data center migrations and ensured Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance for infrastructure supporting internal and client applications. In 2018, they joined Indigo Arc, LLC as a Senior Consulting Architect and Engineer.

Jacob Akers obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Managment Science & Information Systems from Penn State University between 1998 and 2004. In November 2019, they obtained a Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google.
