Scott Chance possesses extensive experience in aviation safety and management, serving as Certificate Office Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Southwest Airlines Certificate Management Office since August 2010. Previously, Scott held positions as Assistant Manager and Supervisory Principal Operations Inspector within various airlines, including United Airlines and Continental Airlines. Before joining the FAA, Scott was a Captain and Line Check Airman at ExpressJet Airlines from 2001 to 2010. Scott's military background includes service as an Armored Cavalry Officer in the US Army from 1996 to 2001. Educational qualifications feature a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
