Alex Greg Sturmer is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Since co-founding Elysium Therapeutics, Inc. in May 2013, Alex has served as President and Chief Executive Officer, leading the development of innovative technologies aimed at improving opioid-based pain management and addressing the issues of prescription drug abuse and overdose. Prior to Elysium, Alex held significant roles including Vice President of Finance and CFO at Signature Therapeutics, Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Theravance, Corporate Controller at Vivus Therapeutics, and Chief Financial Officer at Sonoma Valley Hospital District. Alex began the professional career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an Audit Manager. Alex holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and graduated from Amador Valley High School.
