Bret Hansen has extensive experience spanning over two decades in various roles within the technology industry. Bret started their career at Murata Automated Systems as a Java Consultant and Mentor, where they provided guidance and assistance in the design, training, and implementation of a semiconductor Automated 800 mil Transport Control System.

Bret then moved on to Whetstone Technologies and Computhink, working as a Principal Software Engineer in both companies. In these roles, Bret was involved in the design and development of servers for document and image systems, utilizing Oracle databases, SQL Server, and Novell's NDS. Bret also created Win32 client interfaces to the servers and worked on integrating them with various technology components.

In 2000, Bret joined Campus Pipeline as a Software Architect, where they designed and developed features for the Campus Pipeline portal, one of the first campus portals built on the Java platform. Bret continued their architectural work at Chalkcreek Technologies and TrueNorthLogic, before joining SunGard Higher Education as a Technical Architect. During their time at SunGard, Bret was responsible for creating software product and technology strategies, conducting technological due diligence in partnerships and M&A evaluations.

At Ellucian, Bret served as a Principal Architect, focusing on the development of their latest product. Bret also played a key role in the architecture of the Ellucian Mobile platform, eventually transitioning into a supervisory role.

In 2016, Bret ventured into real estate investing and became an Investor Owner at Optimus Investing. Through Optimus Investing, they help individuals find opportunities for real estate investment and maximize their cash flow.

Bret Hansen has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science in Engineering from Snow College between 1984 and 1987. Bret completed their high school education and received a diploma from Gunnison Valley High School from 1979 to 1984. Additionally, Bret Hansen holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional obtained in January 2019 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate obtained in January 2016.
