Pierrinne Leukes is an accomplished professional in the fields of digital communication and policy, currently serving as Senior Manager for Engagement & Insights at The Digital Impact Alliance since February 2024. Previously, Pierrinne worked as a Data Economy Policy Advisor for GIZ South Africa, Lesotho & eSwatini, contributing to the African Union's DataCipation program aimed at enhancing citizen engagement and innovative data usage for development. Additional experience includes a Fellowship at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, focusing on AI policy certification, and notable roles at the City of Cape Town, including Head of Digital Inclusion and Innovation, Chief of Staff to the Executive Mayor, and Spokesperson to the Executive Mayor. Pierrinne holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in Digital Communication Leadership from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Master of Arts in Political Communication from the University of Cape Town.
