Reports to: HVAC Service Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Eligible for OT)

Location: Louisville, CO

Wage Range: $20-$25/hourly

Job Description:
We are looking for an HVAC Service Technician I. This is for an individual who is looking to jump-start their career in HVAC/R. They will assist and train under an experienced Senior Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems.
  • Will need to be able to read a basic ladder and electrical wiring schematic.
  • Paperwork will need to be completed to the company’s SOP, which will also include the customers' SOP as well
  • Maintain a clean van, inside and out. Maintain inventory logs for the van.
  • Ability and willingness to read and follow OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Possess strong communication skills when dealing with customers, suppliers, and dispatch.
  • The technician is a vital member of the team and is expected to seek guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • The technician plays a crucial role in ensuring safety, and it is imperative that they maintain a vigilant eye and speak up if they observe any unsafe practices.
  • Will need to be able to handle and work on/with a ladder as tall as 32’, be comfortable with working from various heights on top of buildings, and work in tight spaces as well.
  • Assist with other maintenance-related work and a variety of job assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • HVAC Trade school graduates strongly preferred and/or 1+ years in a mechanical support role, some hands-on HVAC experience preferred.
  • EPA Certification- Universal
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Basic knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and correct terminology of the components.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical would include how to use and read a
  • Appropriate communication skills when dealing with customers, suppliers, and dispatch.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background, drug screen, and physical evaluation.
  • Adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
