Lia Dankowicz is a dedicated professional with experience in genealogy, curatorial work, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Genealogist at the Daughters of the American Revolution since January 2023, Lia previously held a curatorial internship at the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum, where research focused on the histories of multi-generational families in the D.C. area. Lia has also contributed as an Undergraduate Departmental Representative at Brandeis University, facilitating events for the Yiddish Department and acting as a liaison between faculty and students. Additional roles include serving as an Immigration Advocate at The Right to Immigration Institute and a Genealogical Research Intern at BNAI Israel Congregation of Baltimore, where genealogical trees were expanded and original family histories researched. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish/Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and current pursuit of a Master of Library & Information Science at the University of Maryland.
