Stephen Iyevbele has extensive experience in law enforcement and community engagement, serving as a Police Captain at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department since September 2003. Iyevbele has held multiple leadership roles, including Lieutenant of the Community Engagement Unit, where responsibilities included overseeing various units such as Youth and Adult Diversion, Electronic Monitoring, and U-Visa. Iyevbele progressed through ranks from Sergeant in the Electronic Monitoring Unit to Detective focused on violent and property crimes, and began as a Patrol Officer. Prior military service in the 82nd Airborne Division as Sergeant spanned from December 1997 to September 2003. Educational credentials include a Master's in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School, a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University, and an Associate's in Computer Science from Campbell University.
