James Renwick has worked in the tech industry since 2012. James began their career as a Web Production Assistant at Thomson Reuters, where they created and maintained web pages using HTML, CSS and some JavaScript. James also used Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit images, flowcharts, diagrams, etc. for the website. James then moved up to a Frontend Developer role, where they were part of a global team that shared a singular code base and had to ensure they followed code review and unit testing standards. James also helped move the company's website onto Thomson Reuters systems and built it from the ground up. James also lead several Web Accessibility presentations to inform and improve practices within the project teams. In 2021, they moved onto a Senior Front End Engineer role at Butternut Box.
James Renwick attended Bangor University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Biology and Zoology.
