Chris Heywood serves as the Senior Vice President, Public Relations & Chief Communications Officer at Brand USA since October 2024, leading global public relations and communications efforts for the nation's destination marketing organization. Prior to this role, Chris held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Communications at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board from November 2022 to October 2024, overseeing various aspects of public relations. Between February 2007 and June 2022, Chris was the Executive Vice President, Global Communications for New York City Tourism + Conventions. Chris's career began at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board in 1998 as a Senior Assistant, eventually promoted to Manager, Corporate Communications from September 1998 to October 2006. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
