Daniela Paulsen, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of virology and project management. Daniela started their career as a postdoc at Heinrich-Pette-Institut in 2000 before joining Bayer HealthCare AG as a Scientist Virology and Head of Laboratory. In 2006, they moved to AiCuris Anti-infective Cures GmbH, where they held various roles including Project Leader, Associate Director, and Project Director. Their responsibilities included managing project teams, planning and tracking timelines and budget, as well as engaging in discussions with top management and investors. Daniela also has a strong background in "cure" approaches for viral indications such as HBV and HIV. In July 2020, they joined Bilthoven Biologicals as the Director of Manufacturing, Science & Technology (MS&T).
Daniela Paulsen, PhD, earned their PhD in Virology from the University of Hamburg from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Diploma/Masters in Biology at the University of Bremen from 1989 to 1996. Daniela also spent a year at the University of Maryland in 1990-1991, studying Biology. Daniela's educational journey began at Gymnasium am Leibnizplatz, although specific years were not provided for this institution.
