Jose Lopez began their career in 1994 as an Engineer at Lucent Technologies. In 1998, they moved to Atos where they held the role of Engineer and Manager. In 2000, they co-founded Inspira, SL and held the role of Engineer. In 2001, they co-founded Netspira Networks and served as CEO and Co-Founder, developing an intelligent access gateway with deep-packet inspection for wireless networks. This company was eventually acquired by Ericsson, where Jose held the role of Manager from 2005-2009. Finally, in 2009, they co-founded Bequant and served as CEO and Co-Founder, building a traffic acceleration network node.

Jose Lopez attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1985 to 1992, where they earned an Engineer degree in Telecommunications. Jose then went on to Carnegie Mellon University from 1992 to 1994, where they earned an MSc in Electrical Engineering.
