Daryl Karp AM serves as the Director and CEO of the Australian National Maritime Museum since July 2022. Previously, Karp held the position of Chair for the Canberra Writers Festival from May 2021 to September 2022 and served as the Director of the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House from April 2013 to June 2022. Additional experience includes a decade-long role as a Non-Executive Director at SBS Australia and other organizations, including the Australian Children's Television Foundation and Weizmann Australia. Karp's earlier ventures include managing Tattooed Media and directing the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers. Educational credentials feature an AMP in Business from The Wharton School and a BFA in film from Tel Aviv University.
