His focus is on preventing disputes or unnecessary complications in a succession, using clear advice and documents that families can rely on in the longer term. Legitimate tax planning forms a part of this, but equally so does the family dynamic.
Chris has a particular interest in acting for clients with an overseas connection, having worked in law firms in both France and Belgium, and has experience handling cross border Wills, tax and succession matters for a number of clients with international concerns. He works closely with the firm’s French Property, Trust and Tax, Agriculture and Contentious Probate teams.
He is a longstanding trustee of equality charity ISCRE and the Suffolk Law Centre, and took a Masters by Research in Charity Law to broaden his understanding of their voluntary work.
