Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to detect new biomarkers, explore innovative methods to enhance assay performance, optimize processes to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Support efforts to identify opportunities to enhance both product functionality and process efficiency, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Participate in technical discussions within the core team, risk management processes, and during the investigation and resolution of experimental issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members and other departments, fostering a collaborative and informed work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of technology and product requirements, protocols, and work instructions, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct analysis of assay performance data, ensuring robustness, accuracy, precision, specificity, and sensitivity.
  • Develop and optimize assay protocols to meet performance specifications, demonstrating self-motivation and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • PhD. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline, or MS degree with a minimum of 3 years of industrial assay development experience. A B.S. degree with extensive relevant industry experience may also be considered.
  • Stays current with advances in immunoassay technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Knowledge of emerging reagents, immunoassay technologies, biomarker discovery, assay prototyping, performance optimization, and control system design.
  • Experience in developing multiplex assays is desirable.
  • Proficiency in data management is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills are required to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
