Yu Sato, PhD, is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Advantest, where responsibilities include driving the design of next generation electron optics technology components and documenting alignment procedures. Prior experience includes a role as a Scientist at Gatan Inc., contributing to the development of energy-filter/spectrometer products, and as an R&D Scientist at Multibeam Corporation, focusing on e-beam lithography systems. Additional experience encompasses post-doctoral positions at the University of California, Davis, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, as well as a guest researcher role at Sandia National Laboratories.
