Youngpyo Joo has extensive work experience, starting in 2010 at Samsung Electronics as a Senior Engineer until 2015. Then, in 2015, they worked briefly as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Seoul National University. Since 2017, they have been employed at SK Hynix, first as a Principal Engineer and currently as Vice President/Research Fellow.

Youngpyo Joo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 2010. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 2002. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Organization Design from LinkedIn in the year 2020.
