Maria Athanasopoulou has extensive experience in bioinformatics and quality management within the genomics sector. Currently serving as Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Quality & Regulatory Affairs at Zetta Genomics Ltd since February 2022, Maria previously held the position of Bioinformatics Quality Manager at Genomics England from September 2016 to January 2022. Earlier roles include Clinical Bioinformatician at both Genomics England and the Institute of Neurology, University College London, where Maria worked from June 2014 to December 2016. Maria's academic background includes a BSc in Animal Science & Applied Aquaculture from the Agricultural University of Athens and an MSc in Bioinformatics with Systems Biology from the University of London.
