Lukas Leutgöb

Vice President Global Research & Development & B2b Marketing at Zentis Group

Lukas Leutgöb has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Lukas is currently serving as the Vice President of Global Research & Development & B2B Marketing at Zentis Group since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Arla Foods as the Head of R&D Complexity Reduction and later as the Global R&D Manager - Product & Process Design from October 2017 to April 2019. Lukas also gained valuable experience at Mondelēz International, where they worked as a Scientist in Process Development and later in R&D Cross Category Productivity from March 2016 to September 2017. Before joining the industry, Lukas served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they completed their Master's thesis on Sugars & Corn Syrup Interactions from January 2015 to October 2015. Lukas also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on the synthesis, purification, and functionality of anti-freeze proteins for food applications under Professor S. Damodaran at the same university from July 2014 to September 2014. Lukas has prior internship experience at AGRANA Group and Danone Dairy in the field of research and development. Furthermore, they have experience as an Academic Teaching Assistant at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna from October 2007 to November 2011.

Lukas Leutgöb completed their education at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). Lukas obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology & Food Technology in the years 2007 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Food Science and Technology from 2012 to 2016. During their studies, Lukas Leutgöb also had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 and conduct their Master's thesis there in 2015. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in B2B Marketing from the Haufe Akademie in 2022.
