Steve Nightingale currently serves as the Lead Counsel for Energy Solutions at Z Energy NZ, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Steve was a partner and board member at Buddle Findlay from September 1999 to June 2023, and served as a Senior Associate during their tenure there. Earlier experience includes working as a Solicitor in litigation at Fenwick Elliott LLP from February 1997 to June 1999 and as an Associate Lecturer at UNSW in early 1996. Steve began their legal career as a Solicitor in criminal defense at Govett Quilliam from September 1992 to December 1994. Steve Nightingale holds an LLM from UNSW and an LLB from the University of Otago.
