Chris van der Wel is an experienced professional in talent acquisition and human resources, currently serving as Lead New Talent at YourSurprise since September 2017. In this role, Chris focuses on assembling a skilled team, attracting international talent, and developing recruitment strategies, while also overseeing ATS systems and collaborations with non-profits and government entities. Prior experience includes HR-man at Randstad, Sales Intercedent at Santos Bikes, and a sabbatical as a bicycle adventurer across Europe. Additionally, Chris was the General Director of Grand Café de ZON, transforming a dilapidated venue into a successful business, and served as the Business Manager at Aktief Overijssel, leading a team in outdoor sports activities. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from Het Van Hall Instituut and is certified as an ABU-CAO employment agent.
