Catherine Batting has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Catherine started their career at Workaseason in 2012 as a Hotel Assistant, where they gained valuable skills in time-management, teamwork, and attention to detail. Catherine then worked as a Steward at the Aegon Championship for the Lawn Tennis Association in 2015. Catherine also worked as a Waitress and Bartender at the Henley Regatta and Festival for Compass Group in the same year. In 2016, they joined Harrow School Short Courses as an Activities Staff, leading daytime activities for teenagers.
In 2016, Catherine began their tenure at Firmdale Hotels PLC as a Graduate Management Trainee. Catherine completed placements in various hotel departments before ending their role as a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Dorset Square Hotel. Notably, they played a key role in organizing a staff summer party for 800 people.
Catherine's career then transitioned to the recruitment field, starting as a Talent Intern at YF in 2019. Catherine subsequently worked as a Talent Resourcer and a Junior Talent Manager before becoming a Talent Manager. Their responsibilities involved end-to-end recruitment for mid to senior-level marketing, digital, and e-commerce roles. Catherine eventually progressed to the position of Junior People & Operations Manager at YF.
Currently, Catherine holds the role of People & Operations Manager at YF, where they focus on unlocking growth through innovation in FMCG. Catherine emphasizes the need for change in the consumer goods industry and works towards making accessible products that have a positive impact on health, wellbeing, and the environment.
Catherine Batting attended Durham University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Prior to that, they attended Queenswood School from 2005 to 2012, although no degree or field of study was specified for this period. Additionally, Catherine has obtained several certifications, including "Unconscious Bias Training" from Young Foodies in October 2021, "Supply Chain 101" from Young Foodies in November 2020, and "Excel 101 & 201" from Young Foodies in April 2019.
