Lisa O'Dea has a diverse work experience, primarily in the areas of customer experience and education. Lisa most recently worked at YETI, starting in November 2017 as an Outfitter and progressing to various roles, including Senior Manager of Customer Experience Operations. At YETI, they were responsible for managing customer experience operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Before joining YETI, Lisa worked as a Teacher at Round Rock ISD from October 2016 to June 2017, where they collaborated with a team to design effective lessons and evaluated student learning. Prior to that, they were a Certified Parts Specialist at Lexus of Austin from July 2015 to October 2016, where they provided exceptional customer service and achieved high sales. Lisa also worked as a Teacher at Austin Independent School District from August 2008 to June 2015, focusing on coaching pre-service teachers and improving school-wide performance on state assessments. Lisa started their teaching career at Lago Vista ISD from July 2005 to June 2008, where they developed engaging language arts lessons and analyzed state expectations.
Lisa O'Dea obtained their Bachelor's degree in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master's of Education specializing in Language and Literacy from the same institution, studying from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, Lisa has obtained several certifications from the Texas State Board for Educator Certification, including Generalist certifications for Early Childhood-Grade 4 and Grade 4-Grade 8, as well as a Master Reading Teacher certification.
