Luke Uebelhoer has a diverse work experience in the field of research and biotechnology. Luke is currently working at Yecuris Corporation as the Director - Client Studies. Prior to that, they worked at Absci as a Senior Scientist and Program Lead, where they coordinated partnered programs and drove activities to expand the therapeutic potential of proteins. Before joining Absci, Luke was employed at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University as a Senior Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2014 to 2021. At OHSU, they conducted research on various projects related to viruses and infectious diseases. Prior to OHSU, Luke worked as an ORISE Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, focusing on the development of reverse genetics systems and screening anti-filovirus drugs. Luke also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Emory University, where they studied the impact of hepatitis C virus glycoprotein on viral life cycle.
Luke Uebelhoer began their education at Cornell University in the year 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Luke successfully completed their undergraduate studies in the year 2004. Luke furthered their academic career by enrolling at Emory University in 2004, where they spent seven years studying Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis. Eventually, in 2011, they successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Emory University, thereby expanding their expertise in the field.
