Sanika Salim is an experienced advocate and engagement professional, currently serving as Senior Manager of Advocacy & Engagement at World Food Program USA since March 2021, following a role as Manager of Advocacy & Engagement. Prior experience includes work at UNICEF USA from September 2019 to March 2021, where Sanika held positions as a Community Engagement Associate and served on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Previously, Sanika worked in the United States Senate from June 2016 to August 2019 as a Legislative Correspondent focusing on healthcare, immigration, and women's rights, and as Assistant to the Chief of Staff and Staff Assistant on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Sanika began their career as a Congressional Intern, followed by a role as a Family Center Associate at CentroNÃa. Sanika holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a Development Concentration and Women and Gender Studies from the University of Delaware, completed in 2015.
