Chase Sova has a diverse work experience in the field of food security and international relations. Chase started their career as a consultant at the FAO - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2010. Chase then worked as a Visiting Researcher at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) from 2011 to 2015. In 2012, they joined the University of Oxford as a Doctoral Researcher and completed their research in 2016. Chase then worked as a Senior Director of Public Policy and Research at the World Food Program USA from 2016 onwards. In 2018, they took on the role of a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in the Global Food Security Project. In 2023, they joined the Council on Foreign Relations as a Stephen M. Kellen Term Member.
Chase Sova pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, Global Studies, and Politics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 2005 to 2009. Following this, Chase went on to attend the University of Oxford from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geography and Environment.
