Mark Lazare

Director Of Beef Operation at West Liberty Foods

Mark Lazare has a strong background in purchasing and operations within the food industry. Mark began their career at Topco Associates LLC in 1985, where they worked as a Buyer and was responsible for purchasing beef for major food cooperatives and forming purchasing agreements for foodservice distributors. Lazare then moved to Rymer Foods in 1993, where they served as the Vice President of Purchasing and played a key role in negotiating customer contracts and purchasing raw materials. In 1997, they joined Stampede Meat, Inc. as the Vice President of Purchasing and was part of the founding management team. In this role, they purchased beef, pork, and poultry for a portion control steak cutting facility, negotiated pricing and contracts, and fulfilled annual customer contracts. Most recently, Lazare has been working as the Director of Beef Operation at West Liberty Foods since 2015.

Mark Lazare attended Loyola University Chicago from 1974 to 1978. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
