Jan Koenigsfeld has a diverse work experience in the fields of project management, localization, and customer service. They started their career in 2007 as an Editor/Webengineer at Cybermedia Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, where they wrote game-related articles and reported from game-related events. From 2008 to 2013, Jan worked as a Localization Expert, Content Creator, and Video Game Journalist, translating and QAing video games to German for Japanese clients and writing for various European publishing houses.

In 2011, Jan joined Fujitsu as a Senior Technical Translator, managing translation projects within the German team and ensuring quality by maintaining translation memories and glossary databases. In 2013, they moved to TransPerfect as a Project Coordinator, where they spearheaded the project management presence in Asia and managed large volume translation projects.

From 2013 to 2015, Jan worked at Alpha as a Project Manager, managing in-house staff and localization projects for clients in Japan. They then joined Solaris Japan in 2015 as a Customer Service Manager.

Jan's experience in the gaming industry continued at Keywords Studios, where they worked from 2016 to 2022. They initially held the position of Localization Project Manager, handling localization projects from quoting to final delivery and managing on-site and external partners. Later, Jan became the Lead Localization Project Manager, managing on-site and remote production teams, developing workflows, advocating for machine translation and automation, and recruiting production staff.

In 2022, Jan joined Wizcorp as a Project Manager, managing game development projects with internal and external partners, liaising between clients and development teams across different time zones and cultural boundaries.

Currently, Jan is working at Waste Creative as a Project Manager, contributing their expertise to the company's projects.

Jan Koenigsfeld obtained a Magister Artium degree in English Linguistics, Japanese Linguistics, and Computer Science from The Philipp University of Marburg, where they studied from 2000 to 2007.
