Siddharth Surana has a diverse work experience in various tech roles. Siddharth is currently working as a Software Engineer at Windfall since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Meta as a Software Engineer in 2022. In 2021, Siddharth served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Vision and Image Processing Group, where they achieved notable accomplishments such as training COVID-Net CXR-2 on chest X-ray dataset and curating the largest open-access COVID-19 X-ray dataset. Siddharth also collaborated with clinicians and radiologists for validation purposes. Siddharth has also worked at Amazon as a Software Engineer in 2021, at WATonomous as an Infrastructure Engineer in 2020, and at DarwinAI as a Deep Learning Engineer in 2020. At DarwinAI, Siddharth implemented various optimized models and spearheaded the development of TensorFlow denoising model. Siddharth has also worked at CIBC Data Studio as a Data Scientist in 2019, where they developed fraud detection models and built a Flask web app for analyzing customer feedback. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer at RBC Capital Markets, where they developed applications and led the implementation of a .NET Core application for stress-testing financial products valuation system. Siddharth also has experience as an Automation Engineer at WorkMarket, an ADP company in 2018, where they led the development of automated UI tests and managed Jenkins server. Siddharth started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at the Canadian College of Business, Science & Technology from 2012 to 2016.

Siddharth Surana began their education in 2017 at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree with a focus on Computer Science and Statistics. Siddharth completed their degree in 2022. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In August 2014, they obtained the CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA. Siddharth also completed various online courses through Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Introduction to Self-Driving Cars, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects. These certifications were obtained between May and June 2020.
