Matthew Lambert has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Matthew started their career at Oscar Mayer Foods as a Hotdogger in 1999. Matthew then worked at The Ohio State University - Fisher College of Business as an Associate to the Director of Development and External Affairs from 2000 to 2002. Lambert then joined Georgetown University, where they held positions such as Associate Director of Class Advancement, Director of Class Advancement and Parent Programs, Senior Director of Development and Engagement, Executive Director of Development and Engagement, and Associate Vice President for University Development from 2002 to 2013. In 2013, they also started their own company, Matthew T. Lambert, as an author, publishing two books. Lambert later joined the William & Mary Foundation in 2020 as the Chief Executive Officer. Matthew also founded and served as the Managing Director of Extra Credit Ventures, an investment firm, starting in 2022. Finally, Lambert is currently working at William & Mary University, where they have held roles as Vice President for University Development, Vice President for University Advancement, and currently, as the Senior Vice President for University Advancement.
Matthew Lambert completed their education with a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Prior to that, they acquired a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University in 2002. Matthew also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Sociology from William & Mary, which they obtained in 1999. Matthew Lambert received their High School Diploma from Benedictine College Preparatory in 1995. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from William & Mary and EverTrue Presents: Advancement's Top Mentors in 2023 and 2022, respectively.
