Jared Butler has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Curatorial Liaison and Intern at the Alva deMars Megan Chapel Art Center, where they consulted in exhibition design, coordinated supplemental programming, managed gallery attendant staff, and developed promotional content. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Research Assistant for the Sustainable Future Campaign of the United Nations Youth and Student Association of Austria, where they promoted sustainable development, coordinated panel discussions, and developed and edited communications. In 2013, they became the General Manager of Bad Dog Taqueria, where they developed inventory and cost control processes, built relationships with suppliers, and reduced costs while ensuring customer satisfaction. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Program Coordinator for the Repurposed Pathways - Inaugural Art Festival of Emory Village, where they independently executed a month long series of open-air public events, tailored the series to fit Emory Village’s character, and recruited participating artists, musicians, and restaurant sponsors. Since 2010, they have also been an Independent Writer and Editor, creating digital and print content for publications and covering arts-related news and events. Since 2016, they have been a Digital Content Editor for wikiHow, creating and editing instructional articles, ensuring articles meet company standards, and balancing efficiency and research in order to meet weekly productivity quotas.
Jared Butler attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Art History. Prior to that, they attended Saint Anselm College from 2006 to 2010, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
