Niraj Virji has extensive experience in the retail buying sector, currently serving as Head of Buying at WHSmith since September 2017, overseeing categories such as soft drinks, alcohol, and tobacco. Prior to this role, Niraj held positions including Buying Manager, Senior Buyer, and Buyer focusing on drinks, as well as Junior Buyer and Assistant Buyer in the snacking category. Earlier experience includes a position as Assistant Buyer at Burton's Biscuit Company for a brief period in 2017. Niraj holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in mathematics and management from the University of Nottingham, completed in 2015, and received foundational education at The John Lyon School.
