Maria Merino has over twenty years of experience as a teacher in elementary education, specializing in grades K-3 at Baldwin Park Unified School District since January 1999. Prior to this role, Maria worked as a bilingual paraprofessional at Long Beach Unified School District from September 1995 to 1998, supporting second language learners in various educational settings. Maria holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne, a Master's Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from California State University, Long Beach. Additionally, Maria completed a two-year Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program.
