Amanda Harrison has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. In 2008, they worked as a County Program Coordinator and Families & Health Extension Agent at the WVU Extension Service Community Leadership Academy until July 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Director at Kanawha Communities That Care. In 2011, they joined Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center as the Vice President, a role they held until July 2016. Since August 2016, Amanda has been working as the Director of the Office of Child Nutrition at the West Virginia Department of Education.
Amanda Harrison completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Leadership at Marshall University from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health and Human Performance from West Virginia State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Amanda has also obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International in September 2021.
